Gbam
Terms of use
Last updated 9 August 2026. These terms are between you and Korevra Technologies Limited, a company registered in Nigeria. Using Gbam means you accept them.
The three things that matter most
- We do not hold your money. Contributions settle into an account a partner bank opens for the goal. Korevra operates the book and takes its fee at settlement.
- A contribution is a gift to a purpose, not an investment. Gbam promises no interest, no return and no profit. You may not get the money back.
- The organiser is responsible for the goal. Korevra runs the software and the ledger. Korevra does not vouch for what an organiser says a goal is for, unless the goal carries a verification badge, and even then only for the checks that badge names.
What Gbam is
Gbam is software for collecting group contributions and keeping a book of them. It records who contributed, how much, and where the money went. It is not a bank, not a deposit taker, and not an investment scheme. Korevra is not licensed to hold customer funds and does not do so.
What it costs
Paying into a goal by bank transfer carries no Gbam fee. The money goes straight into the goal's own bank account, and Gbam takes nothing from it. Institutions may hold a separate monthly subscription, which never comes out of contribution money.
If we ever introduce a fee, it applies only to goals opened after we announce it, never to a goal already collecting, and it is shown in naira before anybody pays.
If you open a goal
- Say truthfully what the money is for. A false goal is fraud, and we will report it.
- Name a bank account that you or your group control, with the name exactly as the bank shows it. Members pay into it, and every change to it is shown on the goal.
- Confirm a transfer only when you can see it on the account statement, and record every payout with its bank reference. Nothing goes in the book on anybody's word.
- Name your co-signers honestly. Money leaves only when the required number of them sign.
- You may not open a goal for anything unlawful, for a lottery or a game of chance, for anything promising a return, or for a purpose you have no right to collect for.
- Only add somebody's phone number to a roster if you have a lawful reason to contact them.
- If the goal is abandoned, the money goes back to every contributor, to the account it came from.
If you contribute
- Your name enters the roll call unless you choose to give anonymously. The ledger records the contribution either way.
- A contribution is generally final. You may ask for it back, and we will return it if the money is still in the goal account and the organiser or Korevra agrees.
- Pay only from an account you are entitled to use.
Verification badges
A badge means Korevra carried out the checks the badge names, on the day it names, and nothing more. It is not a guarantee that a goal will succeed or that money will be spent as promised. We may remove a badge or suspend a goal at any time, and we will hold the money while we look.
Suspension
We may suspend a goal or an account where we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering, or a breach of these terms, or where the law requires it. Where we do, we will tell the people affected unless we are forbidden to, and we will protect contributor money first.
What we are responsible for
We are responsible for running the software with reasonable skill and care, and for keeping the ledger accurate. If our ledger is wrong and money is lost as a direct result, we will put it right.
We are not responsible for what an organiser does with money after it is lawfully released to them, for a dispute between members of a group, for a delay caused by a bank or a payment processor, or for loss you could have avoided. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything the law says cannot be limited.
Messages
Reminders are sent privately, one to one, never into a group. They are capped, they respect quiet hours between 21:00 and 08:00 West Africa Time, and they stop the moment you say stop.
Changes and law
We may change these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction.
